Simple Failover for IIS and MS SQL server -

I have a customer who uses IET and SQL 2000 databases. It is hosted with a shared hosting service and does not receive more traffic (some visitors are at the top of a day). Hosting has occasionally downtime, and the client has asked me if I can set an unnecessary system to reduce downtime.

What is the easiest / cheapest improvement that I can do in this setup? What is the client asking for?

I am hosting web apps and db with 2 different services and by adding some logic to requests from the hands of the application, whatever web server & amp; The databases are up, but I'm worried about the complexities of keeping the database in sync.

Is there any better way?

I recommend putting two modes with the mod_jk close to IIS endpoint and Apache 2 server.
