pdf - confirmation dialog (alert) after form submit -
I was wondering if there is any way to inform the user in an Adobe Reader that a PDF form is stored on the server has gone? I am sending a general HTMF / HTML form to a great deal in a PHP script, straight forward, but there is a big "black hole" in the document, forum etc. What happens when the form is submitted.
Is there no way to trigger javascript warnings after submitting a form ?? I do not want to return another PDF which says "thank you", it's a little easier. I am very new to PDF forms, so I think there should be a way to return the FDF in the original document, which has some JavaScript in it, such as the warning ('Thank you for your feedback!') ..
It really should be straight forward, I think Adobe had developed a lot of generation PDF technology and more developer was very comfortable and accessible ..
Any ideas ?? (Oh, and please do not ask why I'm using PDF form and not the web, it's coming from "top", so, as a developer, I have to do this ..)
The server scripts you are posting must respond with this type of content in the HTTP header:
< P> 'Content-Type: Application / vnd.fdf'e.g. If you are using PHP:
header ('content-type: application / vnd.fdf') After this, the related bestside- Pdf-javascript-half-roti which will speed up the warning () dialog.
