Installing R package rpy2 from source in Mac OSX yosemite -


I am trying to install r package rpy2 on OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 running a new iMac and have problems I am a The tar.gz file is downloaded and it has zero zero error status message when I tried to install it in R: install

Rpy2- 2.5.4.tar.gz ", repos = NULL, type =" source ") error: '/ Could not remove package from'Users/SarahiMac/downloads/rpy2-2.5.4.tar.gz' warning message In install.packages ("/Users / SarahMake / Download / Rp2-2.5.4.5.gz"),: Package Setting / User / Sarammak / Download / Rupee -2 -2.5.4. .gz 'has non-zero exit status

per, I installed the Xcode (6.1.1) and tried to install the package in the terminal: 

  Install RCMD rpy2-2.5.4. Tar.gz

and found the following error message: 

  Error: The package can not be removed from 'rpy2-2.5.4.tar.gz' I also tried to install RCMD - build according to one of the comments and got the same error, and I converted the tar.gz file into a zip file. And did not do any work  
 Any Ou Oughts? Apologies if I'm making a clear error - I'm a novice programmer.   
 
 
 You need to read things more carefully  r , a  R  is a  Python  package to talk with R  package. 
 
 Perhaps you want  rPython  or  rjython , available on CRAN.
