Using rails or ASP.NET for website on Windows -
I need to create a site that interacts with some Windows applications. Currently it is done directly through the call, so I would like to run them on the webserver. This means that the site must be running on a Windows based system.
I am doing some Ruby lately and am eager to use the rail for the site, but very disappointing
Do I have ASP.NET for the Windows system (MVC) or are there enough railways to control it?
Ruby on tracks on windows is not ideal , but it works , And works fine for most purposes. The biggest issue that will run in you is that the community of people running ROR on Windows is very small, so on the issues that you are specific to RR + Windows, they can be helpful.
If the benefits of the existing community are important to you and / or your project, then I recommend going with ASP.Net MVC. The community is much bigger and easier than the ROR + Windows, which is quite a lot, though it is difficult to have an objective value on the benefit of being a community of support, but it is clearly in the biggest selling points for any platform One is - for example, in general the ROR community is a major part of its continuous success. / P>
