git - Moving from SVN to ...? -
I am currently working in a team where we are using a subdivision repository. I say "experiment" because in reality, everyone has editing files directly through Samba shares on one server, but once every time our architect makes a commitment with our changes to our server, which is later Is exited on the server.
So basically we are not able to get meaningful commitments of different users, and we are losing as we are capable of earning as much as we want.
I'm trying to spark some of the interest about distributed systems, and how we have seen how well the workflow is GIT (we are working on our local machines and then reviewed Can move very well for that), but I do not think that I have enough experience with GIT, most of my DVCs. And has been with Mrunatmkta.
Everyone is working a lot in a window environment using cachusensen, and likewise they are used to interact with the system, but they sometimes work on the cyst To use on a Linux server, and how to do a command line committee.
What is the way to go with it, I have done some work to create a gateway between SVN and some DVC 'Es, do anyone have any experience in setting up and working in such an environment is?
How to migrate full-scale migration to DVCs from SVN?
If your team does not understand how the subdivision is used, then I do not know if you How will they be able to understand the git? Especially since they are in the mentality of "facilitating all the work in copying the same work", they are going to have a hard time understanding a distributed version control system.
In my experience, to use svn-git, you should be aware of using the guit and you should know how to use svn. I recommend using
