email - Custom URL protocol in windows - emailing links -

I have a custom URL protocol for an application on which I'm working (as defined here: ). This protocol works fine, I can run -> to start and type:

  foo: 1_1

If I do that Create a web page that has that type of link, it works as expected (I got a warning from the browser, but this is not a problem). My problem comes when I try and send an email from my program which has one of these links. Gmail, in particular, is removing my link, so when I send an email containing this link:

I have been left with the resulting HTML:

It seems to differentiate my HR tag, which I'm guessing because this protocol does not recognize, does anyone know how I can get around this is? I tested it with my ISP's email service, and the tag was left untouched. Is it just something I have to live with, and tell my users to cut down; Paste the link in your Start -> Run box?

After doing some exploration, and what another app is seeing, I like a suitable solution It seems to come with:

Instead of a direct link to our protocol, we will create a link on one page on our site, where we pass the criteria, then our page Using the link will appear that when you send the link via iTunes, iTunes Ai Does it.
