rubygems - Where to put ruby .gem files so that Shoes.setup can find them? -

A lot of questions have been asked about Gems Support in Shoes, but they have not been given any answers. I've got Shoes Racine 1134 on Windows XP, and I've downloaded DBI-0.4.4.1.mem and trying to get the following to work:

shoes. Set up mani 'DBI' is required 'DBI' shoes App ... and

When I run it, I get the dialog that says that DBI installation - searching for DBI Do not search gem files for hours I did not try to take any advantage of it in the following places:

  • The script above
  • D: \ program files \ Normal Files \ Shoes \ 0.r1134 \ ruby \ gems
  • D: \ Program Files \ Normal Files \ Boots \ 0.r1 134 \ rabbi \ gem \ 1.8 \ gemstone

Which is incorrect - folder or code?

Edit - Answer:

Thanks for the answer Pasteo. I had read quoted text, but it was misunderstood in context, where the shoes contain installed gem files, no where this gem source is GOT in Windows XP, reference % USERPROFILE% \ Application Data \ Shoes \ / code> Translates, and installs works perfectly Now start playing with it ...

The code looks fine, for example, it's just crazy :

shoes. Set up mani 'Redcloth' is required 'RedCloth' Shoes.op Door Para Red Cloth. New ('* Awesome *') To_html end

As gems are installed, _ why yourself:

By putting a list of your gems in the shoes. Setup block, if you see above the ending shoes popup, then there is no absence from the gems. To avoid the need for super-rights, gems are installed in ~ / .shoes. (And to keep shoes away from messing with their usual Ruby accessories.)
