c# - Implicit typing; why just local variables? -

Does anyone know where limited typing is limited for local variables?

  Var wick = new foo ();

but why not ...

  var getFoo () Return to {New Fu ()); }

Eric Lipar has posted a complete blog on this subject. In essence, The problem is that to do this, a major re-architecture of the C # compiler will be required. Announcements are currently processed in a single passage, due to the ability to create cycles between the estimated variables, this will require many passes. VB.net has almost the same problem.
