filesystems - How to programmatically really clean Delete files? -
Then you are going to pass your work computer to some of your colleagues. How do you make sure that you actually delete all your personal data?
Re-formatting, restoring the OS will not actually solve the problem.
I searched around and "wiped out" discs.
It caught me thinking how these programs work? I mean, what algorithms they use and at which level do the following implementations?
Any thoughts? Most of these programs "overwrite" by overwriting file bits with random noise and overwriting the file bits
The biggest problem is to do more with the actual implementation of the hard drive and file system. Fragmentation, caching, where the data is actually that you are attempting to overwrite: This is a big problem and this is a very low level of problem - the driver's level, in fact you have Python, C # Or will not be able to do this with Java.
Once the problem has been solved, one of the physical media is due to the nature of the magnetic media, it is often possible to read the previous bits, which were once on the hard drive - even if Only you overwrite them with a different bit of "Safe Deletion" program many times by overwriting this problem - preferably in a random but fairly large number
