html - How to override content css property to not to use it on IE8? -
I am using fonts - terrible on my application and when I have an AJAX request, I will hide a & Lt; Div & gt; which displays a font-awesome icon:
& lt; Div id = "loading" style = "z-index: 9999; margin-left: 45%; display: none;" & gt; & Lt; I class = "fa-fp-spinner fa-spin" & gt; & Lt; / I & gt; & Lt; / Div & gt; This works only the way I want, but on IE8 , the font does not support the awesome spin functionality, so, I think the following I would use ie.css (I have a specific CSS file that applies CSS changes to IE only), and I have class I'm going to change. FA Spinner: Before >> to change the content for gif icon with background-image
.fa-spinner: first {background-image: url ("../image/ajax-loader.gif"); Width: 16px; Height: 16px; material: ""; Material: None; } The GIP icon is being displayed, but it seems that the static f-spin icon was not removed (I used it as the content: "" and < Code> content: any to try to remove it from the icon, and displays only GIF image).
The font-awesome icon is still there when it should not. The problem is that I am not successful to change the content CSS property.
I will add gif background in #loading in . CSS and just for FontAwesome spinner
# loading i {display: none; } The possibility of this approach would be more reliable than trying to override the same property from Fontovamy to surgery.
