Comparing performance - htc vs jQuery -
I have (only IE) a web app that now uses HTC to present the HTML widget.
I'm considering migrating apps to jQuery How to display between HTC and jQuery.
This is not really a valid question.
.htc files usually use javascript. JQuery is just a library that sits above javascript and gives you some additional functionality. If you wish you could possibly use it in a .htc file then you are basically asking about jQuery's performance.
I've never seen statistics, but I can say that jQuery is very slow in most cases, if you use your selectors properly and refer them to this cross-browser Coding makes it very easy, and usually affects any minor execution.
And if the option has been hacked using your homepage, you can see improvements in performance rather than display hits using jQuery. .
