.net 2.0 - Starting a windows service fails with error 1053 -
I have a Windows service that is failing to launch, giving error "1053 Error: Service Initially did not respond or control requests in fashion at one time ".
Serving service in my debugger works just fine, and if I double click on service then a console window pops up on a remote machine and keeps running without problems - I also see the log message Which is showing me that the program is processing in every way the way it should be.
This service was already running well, though this is my first time, personally, trying to establish it with recent changes in the program. I have evaluated those changes and can not understand how they can become the cause of this problem, especially because everything is cured if it does not start as a service.
The StartRoutine () method of service blocking is empty, so returning to a "fashion on time"
I have checked the event logs on the computer, and this is 30 seconds expected time The service does not return any further information that is not heard back from the service in the border.
Since it works on my machine, and as a double-clickable executable, how can I find out why it failed as a service?
Oh, and this. NET 2.0 is therefore not affected by the 1.1 framework bug, which displays this symptom ()
The box is running a Windows Server 2003 R2 Machine SP2.
There may be a lot of things and the problem may be found in the stack trace on the machine displayed. There are several ways to do this, but the point is that you have to see why it is unsuccessful in the code.
You can do this, but a simple thing can be to log in just an event logger, or file log if you have it verbatim, "written line" ("square :: function" ) "In the entire part of the code to see if you have made it.
This will at least look you in the right direction (which is the code eventually).
Update :
See Microsoft articles for details on troubleshooting startup problems using WinDbg.
This is a good description of how to debug services written in .NET.
