How can I use 400 fields in a MS-Access form? -
I understand that the maximum number of MS-Access forms is 255. Is there any way to achieve this limit?
I am working with a mental health survey form in which there are about 400 fields.
To allow the mental health interviewer to register all the responses on one form I want to create 1 data entry form.
I am planning to use the tab to proceed through the data entry.
The maximum number of access records is 255, as in the case of any jet, the SQL statement is a form On the number of controls on the limit 754 on the life of the form (i.e., the removal of control does not give you an extra control).
The design is clearly not correct, but as often happens, we do not choose these things!
In that case, I can imagine that the only solution is a main form in which a bunch of subfomes with a field, PK, and then a subset of the field, like 100, each means that you Be careful about ensuring that your subform protects your editing in your editing program (otherwise you will have to write conflict).
And, no, this is not a very good design.
But this is at least one workaround, if you have been forced to 400 fields because you have an external datasource that you can not do properly.
