What's the point of ASP.net AJAX in ASP.net MVC? -
Then ASP.NET MVC from default ships with both JQuery and ASP.net Ajax While the use of JQuery is clear and very much, I wonder what is ASP.xxxxxx? If I have the controller action just JSON, then I do not need it? In addition, any "old" ASP.NET control only if you use the webform view engine (I think I want to use someone else, but this is not the case).
What is the ASP.net Ajax proposal in an MVC environment?
ASP.NET AJAX is different from Java, it is a kind of large library of stuff and you Like to allow the named API, as you would in typical net programming. Having said that you have a bit more string functions and are ahead, I usually bypass ASP.NET AJAX completely and I get most of what needs in JQuery and other small libraries. ASP.NET AJAX is slightly up to my taste but it is used for it.
